Alan Munde Alan has been a fixture on the bluegrass scene since the late 60s when he first appeared as the banjo player with Jimmy Martin & The Sunny Mountain Boys. His many critically-acclaimed instrumental recordings have elevated him to near legendary status among banjo pickers. Alan was a founding member of Country Gazette, a popular bluegrass group that achieved success in both bluegrass and pop markets in the 1970s and 80s and is now on the music faculty of South Plains College in Levelland, TX and performs as one half of Joe Carr & Alan Munde. In addition to his AcuTab book, Alan has a number of other instructional and transcription books to his credit plus a library of both audio and video tape programs. Alan also teaches each year at the prestigious Camp Bluegrass, a week long instruction and mentoring seminar held on the South Plains campus. |
