Adam Steffey
Mandolin

"Mr. Clean." That is the way most mandolinists think of Adam. His playing is impeccably precise and his solos are so carefully conceived and executed that they are often more like mini-compositions in their own right.

Most fans of bluegrass and acoustic music remember Adam from his many years as a member of Alison Krauss & Union Station. He recorded three projects with Alison - "Every Time You Say Goodbye," "Now That I've Found You" and "So Long, So Wrong."

Adam spent much of 2000 and 2001 touring with the award-wining gospel group, The Issacs but has recently returned to bluegrass as mandolinist for Mountain Heart. Adam's first solo project has been recorded and should be released before the end of 2001.
